Charles Orchard moved from London to Asia 30 years ago in his career as a furniture designer and artwork consultant to produce furniture for his clients during the rapid development of the Asian hotel market.

In 2000 he relocated to Bali to be closer to his manufacturing base and established iBal Designs to provide high end furniture and artwork to meet the demands of the constantly evolving hospitality industry.

Our work is seen in the interiors of over 100 hotels worldwide. We have worked with leading interior design firms and major international procurement companies to manufacture for prestigious hotel brands including: Four Seasons, Mandarin Oriental, Park Hyatt, Kempinski, Regent, Orient Express, Jumeirah, Waldorf Astoria, InterContinental, Taj Group, Capella, Westin, Kimpton, Constance, Waldorf Astoria, Capella and Alila as well as many boutique hotels, restaurants and notable private residences.

Charles has also published 9 books on style and design. His latest book, Singapore Colonial Style is available now in bookstores.
